The Orioles haven't made an official announcement, but tonight's game against the Rays has been postponed. More details to come.
Update: Now, it's official. The game has been postponed and a makeup date will be announced later. Fans are encouraged to keep their tickets and parking passes until more information becomes available. Also, the Jackie Robinson tribute jerseys will be worn at a later date.
Update II: The Orioles won't play a doubleheader on Wednesday. The makeup date will be...
So how is life pitching in the ninth inning? The O's new closer Tommy Hunter is still finding that out.
Hunter is 3-for-4 in save chances, and suffered a blown save Saturday night when he gave up a Colby Rasmus homer with two outs on a 1-2 pitch and with his club leading, 1-0.
Hunter admits he is still finding his way and learning about his new role.
"There is definitely a lot to learn," he said this afternoon. "It's not something I can say I'm accustomed to it at all, because I'm...
Center fielder Adam Jones has also been sent home with flu-like symptoms that are sweeping through the Orioles' clubhouse. Players are covering their noses and constantly using the hand-sanitizing dispenser mounted on a wall across from manager Buck Showalter's office.
The timing is especially bad for Jones because of his desire to play on Jackie Robinson Day.
Reliever Evan Meek also was sent home due to an illness. Showalter was going to give him a few days off.
No word on whether the...
Adam Jones and Evan Meek are the latest victims of the virus that's been making the rounds in the Orioles clubhouse. The illness has forced Jones from tonight's lineup and caused the Orioles to send Meek home after he arrived at Camden Yards.

MIAMI - As expected, Bryce Harper is in the Nationals lineup tonight against the Marlins, after he left last night's contest in the seventh inning after feeling some tightness in his quad.
The quad issue is considered minor and is something Harper has dealt with for the last handful of days, according to manager Matt Williams. Harper will play left field tonight, with Nate McLouth playing center.
McLouth was scratched from Sunday's game against the Braves due to left knee soreness, but...
That's all I've got, folks. The rain stopped for a while and now it's started up again.
The tarp is on the field at Camden Yards. Needless to say - though I'm saying it anyway - the Orioles will hit indoors. Batting practice outside isn't an option.
Also, no official word on whether the Orioles would schedule a doubleheader Wednesday if tonight's game is postponed. It hasn't been ruled out as a possibility. That, too, is pending.
It doesn't sound as though the Rays are excited about...
The Orioles kicked off the second week of the season on a high note by winning a series against the division rival Yankees in New York.
Adam Jones found himself to be a favorite of the New York tabloids as he shared his comments about fans who run onto the field, as well as what he really thinks about new Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka. (More on Tanaka later.)
While MASNsports.com's Roch Kubatko and Steve Melewski have you covered with wall-to-wall Orioles news, below are some stories you may...
Much of the past week was dominated by the Nationals' injury woes.
Third baseman Ryan Zimmerman and center fielder Denard Span are the latest Nats to hit the disabled list.
Zimmerman is expected to be out four to six weeks after fracturing his right thumb on Saturday, while Span was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list after a collision with the Braves' Dan Uggla last Friday.
In between injuries, the Nats were swept by Atlanta, but got back on the winning side of things after...

With the regular season well under way, the Birds are no longer taking the field at Ed Smith Stadium every day. However, the Orioles are still keeping the Sarasota community involved with ballpark entertainment, thanks to its "Arts in the Ballpark" initiative.
For each event, the Orioles transform Ed Smith Stadium, hosting various entertainment acts. Most recently, the Orioles invited the Sarasota community to the ballpark for free concerts from singer-songwriter Margaret Valentine and...
