Game 107 lineups: Nats at Cubs

CHICAGO - It's a cool, gray, windy day on the North Side, the kind of weather you don't normally expect in early August, but maybe in early October. So consider this another good test for the Nationals, who open a weekend series with the Cubs in a potential preview of this fall's National League Division Series.

Tanner Roark gets the start, and the Wilmington, Ill., native surely will have plenty of friends and family in attendance. If recent history is any indication, look for a large section of people wearing purple (Wilmington High School's color) in the right field bleachers. Should be a cool scene for Roark, who is trying to bounce back from a rough start against the Rockies after a nice positive run before that.

Ryan Zimmerman gets today's series opener off; not sure if there's any reason behind that beyond Dusty Baker simply wanting to give his veteran back-to-back days off, and to let Adam Lind face right-hander Kyle Hendricks. But with that change, it'll be Daniel Murphy batting cleanup and protecting Bryce Harper today, with Anthony Rendon bumped up to the No. 5 spot.

As expected, the Nats placed left-hander Enny Romero on the 10-day disabled list with a forearm strain and recalled Sammy Solís (who had just been sent down before Wednesday's game) to fill Romero's spot in the bullpen. We'll have an update from Baker on that and on the state of the rotation for the rest of the weekend soon.
