Game 135 lineups: Nats at Brewers

MILWAUKEE - Not that their life depends on it or anything, but the Nationals certainly would like to win tonight's game at Miller Park. They've already dropped the first two games of this series to the Brewers. Now they send Max Scherzer to the mound against rookie Brandon Woodruff, so you have to this is a good a matchup as any to get back on track.

Scherzer-Delivers-Gray-Sidebar.jpgScherzer looked like his old self Monday night, showing no ill effects from the neck injury that forced him to the disabled list. He already beat the Brewers earlier this summer with six innings of one-run ball at Nationals Park. And he has enjoyed some success here at Miller Park, having struck out 17 during a one-hitter in 2015 and struck out 10 in six innings in a loss last season.

Woodruff, 24, is making only his fourth career start. The right-hander has a 1.62 ERA in the previous three, but he has put 24 men on base in 16 2/3 innings while striking out only 12.

Matt Wieters is out of the lineup or the second straight day after taking a foul ball off his right knee during Thursday night's game.
