Game 150 lineups: Nats at Braves (Murphy scratched)

ATLANTA - Hello from SunTrust Park, here right smack dab in the middle of Unincorporated Atlanta. Some more development has sprung up around the ballpark since the last time the Nationals played here in May, but the Braves' new suburban home still feels far from complete.

The Nats open their final road trip of the regular season tonight with the first of three games against Atlanta. And the opener features a pitching rematch from last week's series in D.C.: Max Scherzer vs. Luiz Gohara.

max-scherzer-gray-sidebar.jpgThat game was notable mostly for Scherzer's struggles in the top of the seventh, when he surrendered five runs via a flurry of walks as he purposely built up his pitch count to 116 in preparation for the postseason. It'll be interesting to see if Scherzer tries to push himself again tonight, or if he tries to back off a bit.

Gohara, meanwhile, was quite effective in only his second career start, holding the Nats to two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six without issuing any walks. Dusty Baker's lineup should at least enter tonight's matchup with a better feel for the young left-hander's stuff.

Update: The Nationals made a late lineup change, scratching Daniel Murphy with hamstring tightness. That's something he has dealt with on and off, and if you'll remember he missed time last September with a similar issue, making this cause for at least some concern. Wilmer Difo is now starting at second base and batting sixth, with Ryan Zimmerman and Howie Kendrick each moved up one slot in the lineup.
