Game 16 lineups: Nats vs. Rockies

The weather was absolutely delightful yesterday when the Nationals beat the Rockies 6-2. The weather is most definitely not delightful today as the two clubs wrap up their four-game series. It's overcast, the temperature has been dropping all morning and will continue to drop through the afternoon, and there's rain in the forecast. It's just a question of when the rain arrives. For now, it doesn't appear to be a threat to the start of the game, only later in the game (if at all). But even if it stays dry, it's not going to be very pleasant out there.

sidebar-Strasburg-white.jpgThe Nationals would certainly love to get this game in, get a good start out of Stephen Strasburg and perhaps win their second straight to salvage a series split before heading out on a nine-game road trip that spans both coasts (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco). Some positive momentum heading into that trip, especially the first leg against the Mets, would be nice for this team.

The Nats are again without Anthony Rendon, though, who also sat out yesterday's game with a sore left big toe. We'll hopefully have an update on his status shortly. We also don't know about Brian Goodwin's availability today. Moisés Sierra again starts in left field, but that might've been the case regardless of Goodwin's wrist because the Rockies are sending left-hander Tyler Anderson to the mound.
