Game 41 lineups: Nats at Diamondbacks

PHOENIX - With two games left to play, the Nationals have already locked up a winning record on this seven-game road trip through San Diego and Arizona. They'd like to do even better than that, though, and today they have an opportunity to take three in a row from the Diamondbacks, owners of the National League's best record to date.

Stephen Strasburg takes the mound for this afternoon's game, looking to keep the train rolling after excellent starts the last two nights by Tanner Roark and Max Scherzer. Strasburg has a bit of an up-and-down history here at Chase Field. He's had four quality starts in six tries, but the two outliers were a game in 2015 in which he was blasted for eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, then a start last summer when he departed after two innings with an elbow injury that landed him on the disabled list.

Matt-Adams-Swings-Gray-Sidebar.jpgThe Nationals are facing rookie right-hander Troy Scribner, who nobody on the active roster has ever seen before. The lineup again features Trea Turner leading off, with Bryce harper batting second. Matt Adams bats cleanup and plays first base, with Ryan Zimmerman out again with a sore back. It looks like he's headed to the disabled list, with veteran Mark Reynolds getting called up from Triple-A Syracuse. More to come ...
