Game 72 lineups: Nats vs. Phillies (take three)

Hey, let's give this another try, shall we? After waiting out Monday night's rain only to postpone the game, then after waiting out Tuesday night's rain only to postpone the game, the Nationals and Phillies are theoretically going to play a day-night doubleheader today. I say theoretically, because today's forecast is even worse, and it's going to be this way all day and all night.

Corbin-Throws-White-Front-Sidebar.jpgBut they have to at least give it a shot, so first pitch of Game 1 is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Patrick Corbin will once again be the starter for the Nationals, well rested after getting two unexpected extra days off. He'll once again hope to firm up his mechanics and throw more fastballs for strikes early in the count so he can then go to his slider to put away hitters.

The Phillies did shake things up a bit, however. Instead of Jake Arrieta, it's Zach Eflin in the opener, with Arrieta pitching the nightcap (if there is one). Eflin has pitched well twice against the Nationals already this season, allowing only one run and seven hits in 12 total innings. This Nats lineup is much healthier and productive now than it was back then, though, so it's not entirely fair to predict today's game off the previous ones.
