Werth in Nats lineup, Morse not

Jayson Werth was scratched from yesterday's lineup due to a sore right ankle. He underwent an MRI on the ankle today, but apparently everything checked out just fine. Werth is back in the Nationals lineup for tonight, hitting fourth and playing right field. While Werth will take his hacks against Giants starter Madison Bumgarner, Michael Morse will not. Morse was pulled from yesterday's game in the fifth inning due to a jammed right thumb. Manager Davey Johnson told reporters last night that Morse's injury wasn't anything serious, but he'll get a day of rest today. With Werth out, Tyler Moore will start in left field. The left-handed Bumgarner (12-7, 3.08 ERA) will oppose Jordan Zimmermann (9-6, 2.35 ERA), the new National League ERA leader. For the Nats: SS Danny Espinosa CF Bryce Harper 3B Ryan Zimmerman RF Jayson Werth 1B Adam LaRoche LF Tyler Moore C Jesus Flores 2B Steve Lombardozzi P Jordan Zimmermann For the Giants: CF Angel Pagan 2B Marco Scutaro LF Melky Cabrera C Buster Posey 3B Pablo Sandoval RF Hunter Pence 1B Brandon Belt SS Brandon Crawford P Madison Bumgarner
