Game 37 lineups: Nats at Dodgers (Parra signed)

LOS ANGELES - The Nationals arrive at Chavez Ravine looking to snap their longest losing streak of the season (four) and having lost 13 of their last 18 games. They are currently eight games under .500 for the first time since September 17, 2011 (71-79). The three-game sweep at the hands of the Brewers was the first sweep versus Milwaukee since May 2011.

Right-hander Jeremy Hellickson (2-1) allowed six runs, but only three earned, in the game's first two frames of a 7-3 setback.

Second baseman Brian Dozier went 3-for-4, marking his first three-hit game since a 3-for-6 performance at Philadelphia April 10. Dozier played 47 games for the Dodgers at the end of last season, hitting .182 with five homers and 20 RBIs.

Third baseman Anthony Rendon's on-base streak ended at 20 games as he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts and no walks. He is still batting .325.

The Nats look to left-hander Patrick Corbin (2-1, 3.71 ERA) to be their stopper. Corbin went 1-0 with a 0.77 ERA in four starts last season against the Dodgers. He allowed only two earned runs in 23 1/3 innings against Los Angeles, with 31 strikeouts to eight walks. At Dodger Stadium, he went 0-0 with a 0.90 ERA in two starts with 14 strikeouts in 10 innings. Overall, he is 4-9 with a 3.59 ERA versus the Dodgers in 18 career starts (20 games), 2-4 with a 3.35 ERA in 10 starts at Chavez Ravine.

More concerning than Corbin's chances for success is the Nats' need to score more than three runs. Since April 26, the Nats have scored more than three runs twice in 13 games. They are 3-10 in that span. Since that first game of their series against the Padres, the Nats they recorded more than nine hits in just two games.

The Dodgers counter with southpaw and former Nationals camp invite Rich Hill (0-0, 3.60). Hill is 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA in four starts (six games) against the Nats. Hill allowed five runs over seven innings in two postseason starts against Washington in 2016, striking out 13 and walking four, losing game two of the National League Division Series, thanks to Jose Lobaton's three-run shot in a 5-2 Nats victory.

Oh, and I know you don't need to be reminded that Los Angeles has the best record in the National League at 25-14, following a three-game sweep of the Braves, and have won five of their last six games.

The Nats went 1-5 against the Dodgers last season, the only win a 5-2 Max Scherzer gem April 20 at Chavez Ravine. The Nationals are 4-8 in Los Angeles in regular season games since 2015, but went 2-1 at Dodger Stadium in 2016.

Closer Sean Doolittle hasn't pitched since Saturday, and the club has a fresh right-hander in Erick Fedde available tonight.

Update: The Nationals have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with veteran outfielder Gerardo Parra, who was designated for assignment by the Giants last week.

The Nats have placed outfielder Andrew Stevenson on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to May 7) with back spasms.

To make room for Parra, right-hander Jimmy Cordero has been designated for assignment.

Parra is not in tonight's starting lineup, but will be available off the bench. He will wear No. 88.
