Game one: Keys vs. Nats lineups

After nearly driving off I-70 as I heard Joe Angel's call of that Swisher homer, I managed to stay in my lane long enough to make it here to Frederick for the start of the Carolina League playoffs. Here are the lineups for game one of tonight's best-of-five series: Potomac Nationals: 2B - Dan Lyons C - Derek Norris RF - Bill Rhinehart 1B - Tyler Moore DH - Sean Rooney LF - Jamar Walton SS - Jose Lozada 3B - Robby Jacobsen CF - Chris Curran P - Danny Rosenbaum Frederick Keys: CF - Xavier Avery LF - Kyle Hudson RF - Ronnie Welty 3B - Billy Rowell 2B - L.J. Hoes DH - Miguel Abreu 1B - Tyler Townsend SS - Pedro Florimon C - Brian Ward P - Oliver Drake The Keys, looking for their first championship since 2007, went 11-9 on the year vs. the Nationals, including a mark of 4-6 here at Harry Grove Stadium. The Orioles had to get the okay of minor league baseball to allow Xavier Avery to rejoin the team. Sometimes they do not allow players to move down a level for the playoffs. Avery was with Double-A Bowie. But since he spent most of this year with Frederick, playing in 109 Keys games, the move was approved. Hot hitting Keys: Ronnie Welty: Is 9 for 26 during a six-game batting streak with a homer, six doubles and 7 RBI. Billy Rowell: Batting .319-2-19 in 30 games since August first. Tyler Townsend: Is 8 for 20 over his past five games with two doubles and two triples. In 49 games this year between Delmarva and Frederick, Townsend hit .321-6-40. Game time tonight is 7 p.m. and Frederick will host the first two games tonight and tomorrow here.
