New season, new radio show

It's become a pretty important part of sports-talk on radio. That's the call-in show where fans and listeners can vent, analyze the game and react right after the game ends. Well, this year, after Orioles' games, you will have your chance to do just that and I will be the voice at the other end of the phone line. I am thrilled to officially announce that I will be hosting the "Baltimore Baseball Tonight" postgame edition on weeknights this year on 105.7 FM, The Fan in Baltimore. The show will air from 10 p.m. to midnight, so you'll have two hours to talk about that night's game and anything and everything else about the team. For out of town readers of this blog, you can hear the show on the Fan's website each night. Click here for the site. Bob Haynie and Jen Royle will co-host the "Baltimore Baseball Tonight" pregame edition each weeknight from 6-7:15 p.m. on The Fan and will be joined each show be either Jim Duquette or Joe Orsulak. As for me, I am very excited to be back on the air with a regular show in Baltimore again. I love to talk baseball with Orioles fans and I will get my fill of that this year. As Bart Scott once said, "Can't wait." I plan to bring plenty of opinions, great topics and analysis of the O's to every show. We'll take plenty of calls, get some great guests and update minor league happenings as well. I will do all I can to make it must-hear radio. The shows begin tomorrow on The Fan. I really hope many of the readers of this blog will tune in either on the radio in the Baltimore area or via the Internet. We have some really passionate, intelligent readers here and I hope my callers reflect that on the show. The passion and savvy of the fans will make it a better show. For those of you outside of Baltimore, The Fan has become the dominant sports-talk station in town and has live and local shows all day. I am now part of that team. Hope you plan every night at 10 p.m. to check out the show and tune in The Fan throughout the day for excellent O's coverage on the radio dial. I have hosted pregame and postgame call-ins before around the O's games, so it's back to the future in a sense for me. As for this blog, I will continue to crank out the entries and nothing will change with that. By now you know you can count on MASNsports.com for coverage of everything Oriole. That will only to continue to grow and get better. Thanks to the management of CBS Baltimore and my bosses here at MASNsports.com for their support with this. Is it 10 p.m. Friday yet! Reminders: MASN's new baseball show, "The Mid-Atlantic Sports Report" debuts today at 5 p.m. after the Nationals season opener. Tomorrow, the MASNsports.com crew, including myself and Pete Kerzel, will be at Hightopps in Timonium beginning at 6 p.m. to talk with fans and we will have two tickets to Monday's season opener to give away.
