Orioles adjust rotation for Blue Jays series

ARLINGTON, Texas - Mike Wright will avoid being skipped in the rotation following today's rainout.

Wright is forced to wait again, but he's scheduled to pitch Tuesday night against the Blue Jays at Camden Yards.

Manager Buck Showalter could start Vance Worley or Yovani Gallardo Friday night in Kansas City. He also has a decision pending on Kevin Gausman, who pitched Friday night at Single-A Frederick and might need one more outing on his injury rehab assignment.

But one series at a time.

The Blue Jays are starting Marcus Stroman, R.A. Dickey and Marco Estrada at Camden Yards.

Wright finally made his debut on Tuesday against the Red Sox at Fenway Park and allowed four runs over five innings in a 9-5 victory. He'll face on the Blue Jays on six days' rest.

Wright started twice against the Blue Jays as a rookie last season and also pitched once against them in relief. He allowed four runs and three hits in 1 1/3 innings on June 19 in Toronto and three runs and seven hits in four innings on Sept. 5 in Toronto.

Moved to the bullpen, Wright allowed two hits and walked two batters in 1 1/3 scoreless innings at Camden Yards in his final appearance.
