Reporting from Aberdeen

With a starting lineup that includes Mychal Givens at second, Manny Machado at short and Conner Narron at third, it should be an exciting night here in Aberdeen. I'll cover Manny Machado's latest press conference, which is set for about 5:15 today and file posts from here at Ripken Stadium during the night. Most of the O's top minor league brass is here and they may even be joined by O's manager Buck Showalter later. Glad I got here early to beat the rush. Machado went 1 for 7 with a homer in two games in the Gulf Coast League. Tonight will be his first Aberdeen game and the first time he plays in the field as a pro. Givens just cranked a couple over the left field wall as IronBirds BP is underway. In Sunday's Aberdeen win, Givens doubled, homered, drove in two and scored three runs. Nice Penn League debut. Here is tonight's Aberdeen lineup: 2B - Mychal Givens CF - Austin Knight SS - Manny Machado LF - Kipp Schutz 1B - David Anderson 3B - Conner Narron DH - Adam Gaylord RF - Blair Dunlap C - Dashenko Ricardo P - Justin Anderson The IronBirds are 32-35 and have six games left after tonight, three at Connecticut starting tomorrow and a season-ending three-game series here with Connecticut beginning on Friday.
