Sixth-inning homers

The Orioles entered the sixth inning leading by a run and exited it the same way. Just with a different score. After Joe Mauer's two-run homer in the top of the sixth off Jeremy Guthrie gave Minnesota a 2-1 lead, Luke Scott crushed a pitch for a two-run homer in the last of the sixth for a 3-2 O's lead. Scott hit a 1-1 pitch from Anthony Slama (yes, his real name) out to the left of the big scoreboard in right field. It was a 394-foot shot that didn't take long to leave the Yard. This after Brian Duensing held the Orioles to a run over five innings. Scott now has hit three homers in five games since his return from the DL and four over his last six games. He has 15 homers on the year and 12 have come at Camden Yards. He has three homers in 32 at bats as a number four hitter. After going 0 for 15 with runners in scoring position the last two games, the O's are 2 for 4 tonight. They began the night batting just .149 (10 for 67) with RISP on this homestand.
