Three outs to go for Bowie (updated with loss)

A funny thing happened to the Bowie Baysox on the way to the playoffs. They may not make it. Trailing Harrisburg by one game for a playoff berth, they are trailing Richmond 4-3 in the last of the 8th in their final game of the regular season. With three more outs left, if they lose, they are eliminated from the race. Mr. clutch, Joel Guzman is 3 for 4 today with 2 RBI and Brandon Waring has a solo homer, his 22nd. Caleb Joseph has two doubles. Richmond scored four in the 4th. Now I'm hoping for a Baysox rally in the 9th. Update: That didn't take long. Bowie went down in order in the 9th as Xavier Avery, Danny Figueroa and Ryan Adams were retired by Rafael Cova and Richmond wins 4-3 as the Baysox season comes to an end. Bowie had 13 hits, but went 3 for 15 with runners in scoring position. A disappointing end, but Brad Komminsk and Bowie posted another winning record and gave their fans some fun down to the last pitch this year. Frederick will be the only O's farm team in the playoffs, hosting game one of its series with Potomac on Wednesday night at 7 at Harry Grove Stadium. By the way, Mychal Givens has been added to Frederick's roster and is 1 for 2 as the DH today vs. Wilmington.
