Victor Robles and Carter Kieboom highlight Nats' top 30 prospects

MLBPipeline.com released its version of the Nationals' top 30 prospects list this week.

The No. 1 prospect on this list is no surprise, and could very well be the starting center fielder this season with the big league club.

Victor Robles has 34 games combined in two seasons with the Nats. This will be a huge season for him, especially with the likely departure of Bryce Harper. Juan Soto and Robles will be the future for the Nats outfield. If Robles can get his hitting to match every other part of his game, it will be a lethal combination.

The top five included shortstop Carter Kieboom, infielder Luis Garcia, right-hander Mason Denaburg and right-hander Wil Crowe.

Left-hander Tim Cate is at No. 6. Shortstop/third baseman Yasel Antuna is at No. 7. Catcher Israel Pineda, right-hander Sterling Sharp and outfielder Gage Canning round out the top 10.

That is four pitchers in the top 10, along with four infielders and two outfielders.

The rest of the top 30 includes two outfielders (Telmito Agustin No. 11, Jeremy de la Rosa No. 12), two catchers (Raudy Read No. 20, Tres Barrera No. 21) and one infielder (Jose Sanchez No. 13).

The other 15 prospects are all pitchers. Four of them are left-handers, including 2017 first-round selection Seth Romero at No. 15. He has pitched in only 14 games within the organization and has tremendous upside. No. 23 Nick Raquet, No. 24 Taylor Guilbeau and No. 25 Ben Braymer round out the list of southpaws.

The right-handers between No. 11 and No. 30 are: No. 14 Malvin Pena, No. 16 Reid Schaller, No. 17 Jake Irvin, No. 18 James Bourque, No. 19 Tanner Rainey (from Reds in Tanner Roark trade), No. 22 Joan Adon, No. 26 Kyle Johnston, No. 27 Jackson Tetreault, No. 28 Gabe Klobosits, No. 29 Brigham Hill and No. 30 Kyle McGowin.
