Nats, Rockies lineups for tonight's series opener

The Nationals will go with the same lineup in today's series opener against the Rockies that they ran out last night against the Phillies. With Roger Bernadina still dealing with some type of issue with his left eye, Steve Lombardozzi will play left field again tonight. Bernadina was scratched from last night's game due to the eye, which Bernadina said was bothering him when he woke up yesterday morning. Johnson had hoped to have Bernadina in the lineup today because he's hitting .353 with two doubles in 17 career at-bats against Rockies starter Roy Oswalt, but Bernadina is currently at the eye doctor and will almost certainly be unavailable tonight. Jordan Zimmermann gets the ball tonight for the Nats, looking to improve upon his 3-0 record in five career starts against the Rockies. He's coming off a sub-par outing last week in Cleveland, when he allowed six runs on eight hits over five innings. Oswalt will get his first big league start this season after signing a minor league contract with the Rockies in May. He made five minor league starts at Double-A, pitching to a 2.16 ERA with a 0.93 WHIP in 33 1/3 innings. The 35-year-old right-hander signed a one-year deal with the Rangers a couple months into last season, and went 4-3 with a 5.80 ERA. He made just nine starts with Texas and was bumped to the bullpen late in the season. For his career, Oswalt has a 3.28 ERA and 7.4 strikeouts per nine innings.
