Henderson and Westburg on left side of Orioles' infield tonight

The latest Orioles lineup tonight, in a game that concludes the series against the Reds, has Gunnar Henderson playing shortstop and Jordan Westburg at third base.

Westburg has three hits in his first two major league games.

Adam Frazier is starting at second base tonight.

Jorge Mateo and Ramón Urías move to the bench.

Aaron Hicks is serving as the designated hitter. He batted .201 against right-handers with the Yankees in 2022 and 2023 but has posted a .276 average against them with the Orioles.

Ryan O’Hearn is the first baseman and cleanup hitter. He’s posted a .421 average and .895 slugging percentage when ahead in the count this season.

Kyle Gibson is trying to rebound from his shortest start with the Orioles, lasting only three innings and allowing five runs and seven hits against the Mariners in a 13-1 loss. His only career start against the Reds was last August, when he allowed three runs and six hits with no walks and 11 strikeouts in six innings.

Jake Fraley and Jonathan India hit home runs.

Right-handed batters had a .305 slugging percentage against Gibson through May but have slugged .625 in June.

Adley Rutschman has received 48 percent of the votes in phase 2 of All-Star Game balloting. The Rangers’ Jonah Heim remains ahead at 52 percent, though the gap has narrowed, and voting concludes at noon Thursday.

Every team in the American League East lost last night. The Orioles are four games behind the first-place Rays.

The Cardinals made Luke Weaver the 27th-overall pick in the 2014 draft out of Florida State University. The Reds are his fifth organization after he signed as a free agent in January.

Weaver has made 12 starts this season and posted a 6.86 ERA and 1.591 WHIP in 60 1/3 innings. He’s allowed 20 runs and 28 hits this month in 16 2/3 innings.

Weaver, who’s never faced the Orioles, has surrendered 14 home runs after allowing only one last year in 35 2/3 innings.
