The Orioles have claimed right-hander Armando Gabino off waivers from the Minnesota Twins and added him to the 40-man roster. Gabino, 26, went 6-4 with three saves and a 2.94 ERA in 38 games (seven starts) with Triple-A Rochester. He also appeared in two games with the Twins. And I'll admit that I can't picture the guy. The general manager meetings begin today in Chicago, which will bring more rumors and speculation than actual activity. Some deals are struck, but it's mostly a way for executives to lay the groundwork for next month's winter meetings in Indianapolis. You may have missed a stat I had in a post earlier today. In six of their last seven games, the Orioles do not have a single hit with runners in scoring position. Now in some of those games, they did not have many chances, but are a collective 0 for 21 with RISP in the six games.
