The Orioles improved to 10-24 with Wednesday's 5-2 win over Seattle. The O's are the last team in the Majors to get to 10 victories.
The O's went 4 for 10 with runners in scoring position and are batting .394 with RISP in their ten wins and .123 with RISP in the 24 losses.
O's record when scoring four or more: 8-4
O's record when scoring less than four: 2-20
It was the Orioles first win this year vs. the Mariners and they are now 1-4 in the season series.

Even though Corey Patterson had not yet arrived when the media was allowed in the Orioles clubhouse today, Nolan Reimold was already gone.
He was hitting just .205 in 25 games. Not far from where Reimold had his locker, Adam Jones talked about Reimold's departure.
"It's kind of sad. Everybody knows the process of getting sent down, you have to go down there and work your way back here. There is no other outlook on it.
"I'm just hearing it, wow. Let it sink, in. Wow. That's part...
Here are more comments from the O's clubhouse after tonight's 5-2 win over the Mariners.
Here are some quotes from winning pitcher Brad Bergesen and Luke Scott, who had a double and homer.
Bergesen on his good outing: "Tonight felt good, all the pitches felt comfortable and the defense played great behind me. As a starting pitcher you always want to stay in the game but it was the right call to bring the bullpen in. The sinker is my best pitch and I felt comfortable throwing it...
On the day that Nolan Reimold was sent to the minor leagues, Luke Scott and Adam Jones both have two hits.
I'm just sayin'.
This is my career high for shortest blog entry.
Update: Jones' RBI single to right in the sixth is his third hit tonight, matching his season high. It's his fourth, three-hit game of 2010 and the last was April 30 vs. Boston.
May no longer be my shortest post.
Paco Figueroa is joining the Norfolk Tides to fill Corey Patterson's roster spot at Triple-A.
Figueroa, a ninth-round O's pick from 2005, will be playing at that level for the first time.
He was batting .306-1-10 in 28 games at Double-A Bowie with a .757 OPS where the 27-year-old righty hitter had played second and third base and left and right field.
After hitting .361 in April, Figueroa's bat had cooled this month as he was 7 for 36.
Once Nolan Reimold reports to Norfolk, the Tides...
*The newest Oriole, Corey Patterson, grounded out in the first in his first at bat. In 14 games with the Tides, he was batting .368-0-2. He was three for six in stealing bases.
He began 2 for 16 with Norfolk, but hit .463 in his last ten Tides games. He batted .250 vs. lefty pitching and .400 vs. right handers.
*Tonight's Seattle starter, lefty Ryan Rowland-Smith is the only player in Major League history with a hyphenated last name. He was born in Sydney, Australia and pitched for that...
Monday sure rolls around fast when summer finally hits, doesn't it? But at least Monday always means one thing here in the Oriole Buzz on MASNsports.com - Another 'Where in the Yard?' photo challenge to get you through the day until the O's take on the Mariners at Camden Yards tomorrow evening.
By now, many of you know the drill, but since it is Monday after all, we'll review: Simply take a look at the photo below and let us know what the item is and where it's located in or around...
I am not sure what is was all about, but a video of O's president Andy MacPhail appeared on MLB.com today. It seems to be his update to the O's fans. Here is the transcript of what he said and the video link.
"I wanted to take an opportunity to talk to you a little bit about where we are at this stage of the season. As you know, we've all had to endure a terrifically horrendous start. That first 18 games were terribly problematic for us and really a miserable way to start the season. I...
Of all the problems the Orioles have right now, here is one you can't put a stat on: teammates losing faith in one another. As in the starting pitchers wondering when the offense will provide them some support.
It's the pitcher's job to get the hitters out no matter what, but besides the fans, I wonder who has noticed the O's lack of offense most?
Probably the pitchers.
Lowest run support in the AL:
1st - David Hernandez - 1.46
2nd - Kevin Millwood - 2.30
8th - Jeremy Guthrie -...
You may have missed a stat I had in a post earlier today.
In six of their last seven games, the Orioles do not have a single hit with runners in scoring position. Now in some of those games, they did not have many chances, but are a collective 0 for 21 with RISP in the six games.
In the other game, game one of Saturday's doubleheader, they went 8 for 16 and scored seven runs.
Tonight, they trailed 2-0 after five and are 0 for 2 in those situations, failing to score when they had runners on...
If it seems like Nolan Reimold has been playing more regularly in left field, that is because he has.
Reimold has started seven of the O's last 11 games in left and manager Dave Trembley said you can expect to see more of Reimold in left.
"That's an indicator that we have to find out if he can do it or not. He's been able to respond health-wise. Now he needs to respond production-wise. He's passed the one hurdle, now he needs to break through on the other."
Coming off last...
Don't forget that tomorrow night is Brian Matusz T-Shirt Tuesday at Oriole Park.
Be one of the first 10,000 fans 15 and older to get to the ballpark before the O's take on the Mariners Tuesday night to pick up your free Brian Matusz T-shirt.
The shirts are orange and feature the "Baltimore" script and Matusz's number across the front and the pitcher's name and number, jersey-style, on the back.
Also in case you're interested, it's Ollie's Bargain Night, which takes place every...
After pitching very well late last season for Frederick, right-handed reliever Brandon Cooney is using his plus 90's fastball and an amazing ground-ball ratio to put up numbers there again.
Cooney, a 30th-round pick in 2007 out of Florida Atlantic, is 2-0, 0.60 with five saves for the Keys. Over 15 innings, the Keys closer has allowed 12 hits and just one earned run on the season, with seven walks to 18 strikeouts.
"I feel really comfortable this year. I walked a few early, but I...
Earlier today I wrote about Frederick Keys reliever Brandon Cooney.
The hard-throwing right-hander is Frederick's closer and off to a great start. He is 2-0, 0.60 and tied for the Carolina League lead with five saves.
Cooney, a 30th-round pick in 2007 out of Florida Atlantic, has pitched 15 innings for the Keys and has allowed 12 hits and just one earned run on the season, with seven walks to 18 strikeouts.
Cooney seems like someone eager to learn and says he has gotten solid instruction...
You can make stats do a lot of things and you can twist them a lot of ways.
But if you look at the stats from the Orioles 9-22 start, here's a simple one that tells the biggest story of this season.
O's record when scoring four or more: 7-4
O's record when scoring less than four: 2-18
Asking a Major League team to score four runs per game is not a lot, in fact an average offense scores more than that.
No one feels the O's offense was great last year. But the 2009 Orioles averaged 4.6...
Scott Baker had an ERA of 5.35 and Nick Blackburn 5.79.
But those two pitchers shut down the O's over the last 24 hours as the Orioles lost the last two games in Minnesota, scoring a total of one run on ten hits.
Gary Thorne and Mike Flanagan discuss the O's 6-0 loss with Dave Trembley
Today the final was Twins 6, O's 0 as Brian Matusz allowed six runs over 3 2/3. Blackburn had given up 21 hits over his last two starts and opponent hitters were batting .338 against him.
But the O's...
Well, every time you think maybe the O's offense is coming to life, it doesn't happen.
They could not follow up the seven run, 12-hit win over the Twins and Francisco Liriano on Saturday night.
Scott Baker, who had pitched to an ERA of 7.56 over his previous three starts, shut down the O's in Minnesota's 6-1 win that split the doubleheader. Tonight he gave up just three hits over eight innings.
Luke Scott's solo homer to right in the fifth snapped his 1 for 20 drought, providing the...
Reliever Jim Johnson has been placed on Triple-A Norfolk's disabled list due to right elbow inflammation. The move took place before last night's game. Pitcher Alberto Castillo, who was optioned to Triple-A from Baltimore, took Johnson's roster spot.
Johnson was 1-1. 6.52 in ten games with the Orioles and had allowed 15 hits in 9 2/3 before being sent to Norfolk. He pitched one scoreless inning for the Tides, on May 4 vs. Scranton. That was his only Norfolk appearance before the DL...
The Orioles are now 7-5 over the last 12 games after beating Minnesota 7-3 today in game one of a day/night doubleheader.
They improve to 9-21 on the year, 2-3 on this road trip and 5-13 in road games on the season.
A win tonight or tomorrow would give the Orioles just their second series victory of 2010.
The O's overcame their 2-0, first-inning deficit to win and won for the first time this year (now 1-11) when their opponent scored first in the game.
Gary and Eddie talk with Dave...
Some notes, stats and facts to ponder while we await the start of a long day of Orioles baseball.
The Orioles are 6-5 since their 2-16 start. In those 11 games, the team average is .258 and they have scored 44 runs. The team ERA is 4.18 during that run.
O's runs scored on the year:
*78 in 21 games vs. AL East, 3.7 per game.
*21 in 8 games vs. everyone else, 2.6 per game.
They are scoring less right now in a small sample, outside of the division. That is skewed somewhat by their 36 runs...
