Game 43 resumed: Nats vs. Yankees

It's a beautiful day for baseball ... let's play 1 1/3! Well, that's what the Nationals and Yankees will try to do. The forecast obviously isn't great, but they're preparing to resume last night's suspended game at 5:05 p.m. and then play the originally scheduled game at 7:05 p.m. Whether any or all of that happens remains to be seen. Stay tuned.

Thumbnail image for Nats Park rain delay tarpjpgA reminder regarding tickets: Only tickets for tonight's game will get you into the park today, beginning at 3 p.m. That ticket gets you into the conclusion of the first game and all of the second game. Tickets from last night's game are no longer any good.

When they resume, it'll be the bottom of the sixth, with the Nats and Yankees tied at 3-3. Bryce Harper is due to lead off against an as-yet-unnamed New York reliever. Wander Suero technically is still in the game for the Nationals, so he could pitch the top of the seventh or Davey Martinez could decide to go with another reliever. My guess is that much will depend on whether the Nats score or don't score in the bottom of the sixth. Could make for some interesting strategical decisions.
